Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has attached a double-storey under-construction residential house belonging to one Abdul Majeed Bhat son-in-law of Mohammad Ahsan Ganaie R/o Cheenigund, Srigufwara , adding therein that moreover property, spread over 1 Kanal of land valued at ₹1 crore, has been also attached under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, as it has been linked to proceeds from drug trafficking.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar police said that the accused is involved in a major narcotics case registered under FIR No. 68/2021 at Police Station Srigufwara, wherein a substantial quantity of contraband substances was recovered.
Stating that this action highlights Police’s firm commitment to combat the drug menace and dismantle the financial networks sustaining illegal narcotics trade Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to support their efforts in building a drug-free society, reiterating therein its commitment to take strict legal action against those engaged in drug-related crimes.
