Dr Bilal directs real-time redressal, identification of land for playfields
Budgam : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat Tuesday chaired a public darbar at Town Hall of Beerwah sub-division, to take stock of public grievances and demands from locals and representatives of various organizations.
During the public interaction programme, locals from Beerwah and its adjacent villages including Chewdara, Sail, Rathsun, Aripathan, Warihama, Otligam and Sonpah projected various demands before the DC.
The demands included uninterrupted electricity supply, establishment of a full-fledged PHC, early completion of pending school and PHC buildings, macadamization of interior and link roads, and development of playing fields.
Bar Association Beerwah also raised the demand for construction of a Court Complex at Beerwah, besides a toilet complex within the existing premises. Similarly, the Head Granthi of Gurdwara Beerwah highlighted the issue of encroachment on the road leading towards the Gurdwara and requested timely intervention.
Giving a patient hearing, DC assured that all genuine demands will be taken up with the concerned authorities for prompt redressal. He said that the feasibility of all other roads, including inner links in the adjoining areas, shall be assessed for upgradation, restoration and macadamization.
DC further assured that improvement works under Jal Shakti, KPDCL, Health, and Education sectors have been duly noted and shall be addressed under the relevant heads.
He directed the concerned officers to expedite the completion of ongoing and pending projects, particularly school and health infrastructure, so that locals get timely benefits.
On the occasion, DC also directed sectoral officers to conduct special awareness-cum-registration camps under HADP, PM Vishwakarma and Mission Yuva in Beerwah sub-division, urging locals to participate actively and avail maximum benefits under these government schemes.
DC further directed all officers of the district to frequently visit different areas and provide real-time solutions to the genuine demands of the public.
He instructed the ACD Budgam to identify land for playfields so that every Panchayat has its own playing facility.
He also emphasized that officers must maintain close liaison with the public to ensure better education and awareness regarding various social security and employment generation schemes of the government.
Among others, CPO Budgam, SDM Beerwah, ACD, CMO, CEO, Tehsildar Beerwah besides all district and sectoral officers were present on the occasion.
