Over 30 Amarnath pilgrims injured in Chanderkote bus accident

Ramban: At least 30 pilgrims sustained injuries in a road accident at Chanderkote early this morning when a bus carrying Amarnath Yatra pilgrims lost control and collided with several parked buses.

The incident occurred at the breakfast halting point, involving a bus bearing registration number MP 10 ZF 7999 en route to Pahalgam.

The accident damaged five Yatra buses and injured more than 36 pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

The 84 Battalion CRPF, along with the district administration, responded swiftly. A mobile medical team led by Dr. Anu Gorke, SMO, provided immediate medical care and assisted in evacuating the injured.

Commandant N Ranbir Singh of CRPF oversaw the rescue operation and later visited the injured at the District Hospital Ramban.

Most injured pilgrims are in stable condition. Those with minor injuries resumed their journey in alternate buses arranged by the administration.

Pilgrims acknowledged the timely support extended by the CRPF and district officials.(KNS).
