Pr. Secy Culture Deptt, Div Com(K) review final arrangements for Tiranga rally
Srinagar: Principal Secretary, Culture, Brij Mohan Sharma and Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri jointly chaired a meeting of officers to finalize the arrangements regarding conduct of a massive Tiranga rally of over ten thousand participants on the boulevard road from SKICC to Botanical Garden on August 12.
Addressing the meeting, the Principal Secretary directed for installation of theme based selfie points at SKICC and Botanical Garden with QR facility for uploading the photos. He further emphasised deployment of NCC volunteers to facilitate the participants in uploading photos at selfie points. He also directed the Commissioner SMC for theme based colour coating of trunks of trees and plants along the rally route. Besides, he stressed on installation of hoardings for sensitizing the participants for honoring the national flag code.
On the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner reviewed the transport plan for participants besides reviewing the arrangements for Shikara Tiranga rally in the Dal lake. He emphasised the decoration of Shikaras with tricolour for an impressive display of fascinating views of the rally.
Meanwhile, he reviewed the arrangements for drinking water facility and electricity at the venue and issued a slew of directions to the concerned departments. He also directed the concerned departments for installation of theme based stalls and holding of exhibition at SKICC.
Further, the Div Com reviewed preparation for presentation of cultural programmes, band performances of BSF and felicitation of VVIPs and war heroes. He also directed for establishing First Aid Camps and deployment of ambulances for any medical emergency.
The event manager was directed to make elaborate arrangements for water proof tentage, seats and setting up stage and installation of LED screens.
The meeting was attended by Director Floriculture, Commissioner SMC, Secretary AACL, ADC Srinagar, officers of LCMA, SRTC, Handloom & Handicraft, PHE, KPDCL, R&B, Police, CRPF, BSF, Army besides District Sanik Welfare Officer.

Budgam : In the run-up to the 79th Independence Day celebrations, a wave of patriotic fervor has swept across Budgam district as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign 2025.
Educational institutions have taken the lead in organizing a series of vibrant and creative activities to instill the spirit of nationalism among students.
At HSS Khanda, a colourful art and craft in tricolor exhibition was held, where students displayed their creativity through artworks inspired by the national flag. The exhibition highlighted the students dedication to cultural pride and artistic expression.
Similarly, HSS Chadoora hosted an exhibition of artifacts, showcasing hand-crafted items made by students to celebrate the tiranga. The event reflected the deep-rooted patriotic sentiments and enthusiastic participation of the youth.
In HSS Khansahib, students participated in a unique Rakhi making activity, crafting beautiful Rakhis in the tricolour theme. The activity symbolized unity, love, and devotion to the nation, blending traditional celebration with patriotic spirit.
These activities are part of a larger series of events being conducted across Budgam under the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, aimed at encouraging citizens, especially the younger generation to connect deeply with the national flag and the values it represents.
The campaign continues to gain momentum across the district, with educational and municipal institutions playing a key role in amplifying its message.

Anantnag: The phase Ist of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign concluded on a high note in Anantnag Friday, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students, youth, government officials, security personnel, and other stakeholders.
A series of vibrant and patriotic activities were carried out across the district during this phase to celebrate the spirit of the Indian Tricolour and Independence Day.
Key highlights of the campaign included wall paintings and decorations, rakhi-making and rangoli competitions, as well as creative art and craft based on Tiranga themes. Participants also penned heartfelt gratitude letters and tied rakhis to security personnel including the Army and J&K Police, acknowledging their unwavering service to the nation.
Schools, institutions, offices, and public spaces were adorned with Tiranga-themed decorations, lending a festive and patriotic ambiance throughout the district. Buildings were painted in national colors, and the streets came alive with themed hoardings and banners, reflecting a collective sense of pride and unity.
Officials and ground staff from various departments, including Poshan and Rural Development Department (RDD), participated in the campaign with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
With phase-I now successfully completed, the district administration is geared up for phase-II of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, which is scheduled to commence on 9th August. The second phase is expected to witness even greater public participation as preparations for the Independence Day celebrations move into full swing.
ADC flags off rally under Har Ghar Tiranga campaign at Udhampur
Udhampur: To generate awareness about the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Shaheed Inspector Kamal Singh Government Model Higher Secondary School Boys Udhampur Friday organised a Tiranga rally with the participation of students and staff.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh flagged off the rally from the school, in the presence of Additional SP Sandeep Bhat and other officers.
Hundreds of students and staff carried the National Flag through Bus Stand, Slathia Chowk, Ramnagar Chowk and Gole Market, before concluding at the DC Office Udhampur.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC said the rally aimed to sensitise the public about the campaign. He urged participants to take part actively and appealed to residents to hoist the National Flag at their homes.
Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in full swing across Ramban
Rambna: The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across district Ramban. Under the leadership of the District Administration, all departments and sections of society are organising a series of patriotic activities that blend the spirit of nationalism with community engagement.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, Senior Superintendent of Police Arun Gupta, SSP Traffic NHW Raja Adil Hamid Ganaie, ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, Addl. SP Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and other key officers from the district administration, police and allied departments participated in various events held across the district.
In a mega event, girl students tied self-made Tiranga Rakhis to soldiers with the slogan “Tiranga Rakhi Har Veer Ki Kalai Per.” The celebrations began at the District Police Lines Ramban, where Rakhis were tied to J&K Police and CISF jawans. This was followed by a visit to the Army Camp Maitra, where students extended the gesture to soldiers of all ranks.
The event evoked deep patriotic and emotional sentiments, reflecting the tradition of honouring soldiers on Raksha Bandhan. The symbolic act of tying a Rakhi to jawans represents love, respect, and gratitude for their unwavering dedication to protecting the nation.
Across the district, the campaign also featured vibrant rallies, painting competitions, cultural performances, and awareness drives focusing on cleanliness, water conservation, plantation and hygiene, transforming Ramban into a hub of patriotic fervour.
DC Ramban reviews arrangements for Independence Day 2025 celebrations
Ramban: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan Friday chaired a comprehensive meeting to finalise arrangements for the upcoming Independence Day 2025 celebrations and the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign across the district.
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Arun Gupta, SSP Traffic NHW Raja Adil Hamid Ganaie, ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak and other key officers from the district administration, police and allied departments. The purpose was to ensure a well-coordinated, timely and dignified celebration of the national event.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted a thorough review of all arrangements, including venue decoration and seating, public address systems, parade and cultural performances, fire safety measures and barricading, refreshments, power and water supply, illumination of government buildings and cleanliness drives at and around the venue.
Special emphasis was laid on flawless parade and cultural programme rehearsals, attractive decoration and maintaining cleanliness at the venue to ensure the smooth conduct of the main event. The main Independence Day function is scheduled to be held at DPL Ramban, where the Chief Guest will unfurl the National Flag and take the salute at the ceremonial march-past by various contingents.
Reviewing the progress of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the Deputy Commissioner called for maximum public participation and directed the concerned officers to ensure the successful execution of all scheduled mega events.
The SSP briefed the meeting regarding arrangements made by the Police Department at the venue, besides suggesting various measures to ensure safe, smooth and peaceful Independence Day celebrations across the district. The SSP Traffic also briefed the meeting on the traffic plan for the event.

Poonch: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Poonch Pankaj Magotra on Friday chaired a review meeting at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to assess the ongoing preparations under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2025. The meeting focused on key events including the Human Chain, Tiranga Rally and Tiranga Concert scheduled to be held from AUGUST 11 to 15, 2025.
During the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch Tahir Mustafa Malik apprised the chair of the departmental preparedness and detailed measures being taken to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of these patriotic events.
A comprehensive discussion was held on the planned Human Chain event, covering aspects such as the route map, segmentation for coordination and instructions for participating schools and stakeholders.
The meeting also deliberated on the arrangements for the Tiranga Rally, Tiranga Concert, Rangoli and other vibrant activities aimed at fostering a festive and patriotic atmosphere across the district.
The ADDC emphasised the need for massive participation from all sections of society, including students, youth groups, government officials, civil society members and the general public, to reflect the collective patriotic fervour of the district.
He further stressed strict adherence to safety, security and discipline during all events and directed officials to ensure compliance with the Flag Code of India. Instructions were issued to brief participants in advance to uphold the dignity and sanctity of the National Flag at every stage.
Highlighting the significance of coordination, the ADDC instructed all departments to work in close synergy to ensure that the events are conducted in a grand and befitting manner, truly reflecting the national spirit and significance of Independence Day.
A special emphasis was also laid on traffic management, with directions to concerned departments to prepare comprehensive traffic and security plans to ensure smooth movement and minimal disruption during the rallies and gatherings.
